Stay far away from 4ply and 3ply options — the more material you flush, the more challenging it is for your pipes to handle. Traditionally, plumbers recommend single-ply, super thin TP (think marine and RV status). Bim Bam Boo’s 2-ply tissue is a great middle ground. Our unique water-soluble formula easily breaks down, but doesn’t make you suffer like the sand-papery recycled paper or janitorial alternatives. Avoiding Blockages

There is nothing worse than having to deal with a sewer blockage!

You’re reading this article because you’re aware that some things just shouldn't be flushed (like unflushable wipes, paper towels and facial tissue). But that doesn’t mean that previous home owners abided by the same code of sewer ethics. Get in the know about your property’s current conditions by getting your pipes scoped — a service a skilled plumber can provide. During their visit, they’ll put a camera down your pipes and inspect for any potential dangers.

If you are in the unfortunate circumstance where you have experienced blockages, it’s time to call in a professional (AKA, a plumber).

Things that may be at the root of problematic plumbing that have nothing to do with toilet paper:

The age and quality of your pipes (for example, cast iron can fail over time

and the degradation can cause material to snag on the interior of the pipe, thus

causing blockages)

Roots from bushes and trees can be a BIG problem when it comes to the

health of your pipes.
